The OctaTribe
I'm a bit of a sentimental gal.
Well.
Okay.
A Lot of a sentimental gal.
I keep coming to The Crew page to update everyone's pictures and little descriptions.
But here's the thing.
Back when I kicked off this blog thing, back when the twins were babies and we had just barely moved to ATX, back before Facebook was a phenom and Twitter was a thing, these were the pictures and descriptions about my family.
And I just keep finding it tough to change it.
So let's do this~~
Here's a quick update. And then you can scroll on down to see the way we were.
Mike is still the love of my live. Even more so than ever.
1 of 8 is finishing college with dual degrees in French and Pre-Med. She hopes to be done late 2013 and then has all kinds of other academic goals which include getting a string of high-sounding initials after her name.
2 of 8 is dancing professionally and taking college classes. She is the director of 2dance2dream, a specialized non-profit dance program for children with special needs.
3 of 8 is going to be sixteen soon and is now officially taller than his daddy. Which he feels the need to talk about every day. His creativity in graphics and video design continues to expand and on top of school, he's working with a couple of different pastors on their multi-media projects.
4 of 8 is an aspiring singer and song writer. Yes, my child who is hearing impaired. Yes, I believe in miracles. And you will too, when you hear my hearing-aid wearing little songbird sing. Amazing grace. Amazing.
5 of 8 is still one of the funniest, most charming people I know. He is dancing competitively and tearing up the stage. He can tell a joke and fry an egg better than just about anybody.
6 of 8 is also dancing competitively and keeps us all rolling with her over-the-top story telling style. She is all about friends and funny and hair accessories at the moment.
7 of 8 is a conversationalist. Talk. Talk. Talk some more. We are still in weekly physical and occupational therapy for the residual effects of the stroke she had at birth. She is loving her reading and writing lessons and cannot get enough of My Little Pony videos.
8 of 8. What can I say? One of the sweetest, quirkiest people I know. My baby. He is also in therapy for speech and sensory integration. He is an unbelievable video gamer...really. As in, 3 of 8's teenage buddies stand in awe of 8 of 8's gaming skills. He is compassionate and loving and is used to being bossed around by his twin sister.
So there's the update, 2012 style. Now sit back, scroll down, and wander through a little sentimental exercise on my part. Here is the original The Crew content. That I just can't bring myself to change or remove.
'Cuz I'm a little sentimental.
