I love it when they can verbalize like that. We begin teaching our children when they first begin to whine to say what they are feeling with words rather than just fuss and whine about it.

Just last night our 3 year old began to cry because he couldn't go outside with the bigger kids, then he stopped fussing and said, "Mom I'm disappointed." So cute. :)
