So, yes, voters have some difficult decisions to make this year.
But I have a voting opportunity for you that is really, really easy.
There's an awesome group out there that has a line of bracelets with a message we can all appreciate...
Good Choices, Good Life, Bad Choices, Bad Life.
The bracelets bear the insignia GCGL/BCBL which stands for the above quote.
My family wears these bracelets as a reminder that we have so much power every day, to make choices that benefit our futures or that detract from it.
And now the GCGL/BCBL group has come up with this amazing idea...
They are going to donate $1 for each bracelet they sell to go to a non-profit. The non-profit with the most votes will receive the proceeds for one year.
Here's where you come in, Dear Reader.
As many of you know, I'm the Founder and Executive Director of Legacy of Hope Austin, a 501(c)3 non-profit that serves families with special needs children. We provide access to the arts, educational tutoring and respite care 'date nights' for families. My daughter, 2 of 8, is the director of one of our programs, 2dance2dream, which provides fully scholarshipped dance classes and performance recital experience for children with special needs. We are thrilled that the 2dance2dream program has now expanded to three studios across our metro area. 2learn2dream is our specialized tutoring program for children with learning differences, offering one-on-one tutoring with our master teacher, Mel Wray. 2night2dream is our 'date night' for moms and dads with kids with special needs, offering fully RN-supervised respite care for children, again all offered at no cost to the families.
I'm asking for your vote.
Please go to this link on Facebook and 'like' Legacy of Hope Austin. Please oh please oh please click here and give us your vote so that we can continue to offer these programs to such amazing and deserving families!!! Thanks SO much!
