Ugh! We're headed out the day after Christmas driving 1200 miles, so no, I won't be joining you on that one as I have my own personal... um... fun to look forward to.

Have safe travels and a very merry Christmas.

Umm, I may love you, but I will pass. As you probably figured out, I passed on making the same trip myself with only my two.

I pray for a semi peaceful trip and certainly uneventful for the 8 hours. Wave at my hubs as you pass each other on the interstate.

"see" you when you get back,
Annemarie

Wow, I would love to come--just to see how you do it!
Sometime, after you return (physically and mentally--ha ha!), you will have to post some tips on traveling with little ones.
We live in Pennsylvania, and my sister is getting married in Florida next summer.
So, come May, we will be driving 850 miles each way (16 hours each way) with a 3-year-old girl (the flower girl), a 23-month-old boy, and (hopefully by then!) a breastfeeding two-month-old girl (as long as she doesn't come prematurely like her brother did).
My husband is dreading the trip. And while I'm recognizing it will be one of the more challenging experiences we've had thus far as parents (after maybe the NICU experience), really, I'm probably clueless as to just how challenging it will be!
As the maid of honor and mother of the flower girl, I want to make this trip as enjoyable as possible for ALL involved.
How do you do it, with eight children?! And how do you keep the little ones happily occupied? And do you stop every 3 hours to breastfeed the baby?!
I'm all ears! And if others have tips, feel free to chime in. :-)

Sounds like fun! ;) Merry Christmas, Octamom! God's richest blessings to your family!
Say, are you going to be doing a 'new' word of the year? :)
