I don't expect it of you.
Really.
But I do try to get my Christmas card out each year before Thanksgiving. Because if it doesn't happen by then, it's probably not going to.
But if you would like to interpret my OCD Christmas card delivery as a sign of high organization and remarkable discipline, you're welcome to.
You'd be wrong.
But I would come off looking pretty good.
Anyway.
So here's the family photo that graces this year's card:
And here's the one that Mike really wanted to send out:
Not much difference, you say? Well, let me help you out:
That would be 3 of 8--and, believe me, this photo will be used for blackmail purposes...

beautiful family portrait. i love the first one, but i think it would be fun to send the second one to your friends and family. i'm a fan of funny pictures in christmas cards. last year i put my son in a santa outfit and both he and our Golden wore antlers on their heads. happy WW and take care.
I agree with Stina, beautiful family! I'm so behind already with Cmas cards. Our pictures have been delayed twice now, and the lovely wet weather that is due to strike today will post pone us yet again! So, everyone will be lucky to get our cards the week before Cmas! Better late then never, right?
I think it'd be hilarious to post the 2nd photo on the back with a message to spot the difference. GREAT pics, by the way!

I'm with Mike on this one! Way to capture the feelings in the heart of men young and old come picture
Congrats on getting the cards out you OCD little thing you!
Great picture! I'll be 3 of 8 would have liked you to use the one with the silly face... that's why they do it!! BOYS!!!
It turned out great! Haha- I noticed right away! What a beautiful family! :)
One year I couldn't find a decent picture so I did a montage of all of the bad ones in b/w with a "decent one" in color... it made the decent one look so much better!
However, you are a genius, even with the funny face, how'd you get the kids to all look at the camera?
Beautiful picture that you chose and the your 3 of 8 looks like he would get along with my 3 of 3 perfectly LOL
gosh, you two sure make beautiful babies!
and i'm totally with mike on this one- that's pretty typical of 3 of 8, so i would have gone ahead and sent it!
All ten of ya are cuter than most people. :)
Oh Octa, those are BOTH worth sending! LOVE 3 of 8...LOVE him!
Blessings to you this holiday. :)
OCD or just realistic...Hmmmm. Holidays, while lovely, can be crazy manic. I think it's smart to do that.
Shug, y'all have a beautiful family! 3 of 8 is doing what my son tends to do in pictures now...make silly faces!
P.S. My favorite part of any production are the outtakes.
Either you have wonderful children or superb Photoshopping skills. Our first attempt at our Christmas card this year was a disaster. I may just bag it altogether, for the first time ever. It was that bad.
I am impressed you got that great of a picture!!! Before Thanksgiving? Glad you added that you don't expect that of me. lol.
I would have sent the second one. Then I would have sat back and waited to see if I got any comments :)
I dare say, in my family anyway, the ones that wouldn't think it's funny probably wouldn't look close enough to see 3 of 8's efforts.
You totally should've sent the second one out. Your card would've been the highlight of the year. :) So funny.
Beautiful!! The first one, I mean...I have a nutball, too. There's one (or more) in every bunch! Makes things exciting!! : )
