But I have a good reason.
I have been driving hundreds of miles with small children. By myself.
See, I'm not a blogging slacker.
I've brought seven of the kids up to Oklahoma to visit family. Five of the seven have peeled off to go to the lake with MiMi and PaPa. The twins and I are staying with my mom and dad.
Did you catch that? The twins and I.
As in, no big kids to help me, no younger kids to distract them.
The twins and I. I am tired.
But there was a bit of a break in the baby chasing last evening when my youngest brother and his wife headed to my folks house and brought their kiddos. It was a Cousin Fest.
This is my youngest niece, CL. She was born 4 months after the twins.
I'm just trying to keep toddler twins from ripping down the sheet rock at my parents' house.
My parents frown on that kind of thing.
So cute... Toddlers are great..even if they do rip down the sheet rock from time to time.

i hear ya! it's so convinient to have the big kids to help-it makes me wonder how i did it all by myself 16+ years ago with 4 under the age of 4! i like to joke and tell people that you should have the teenagers first~ it makes it so much easier to have helpers! count yourself lucky if you get to drink ONE cup of hot coffee a day!

ReplyDeleteI am now able to get Joseph to do different poses for me, but every so often he says "I am too tired now, no more photos". I laugh and say PLEASE and he says "OK just one more".

ReplyDeleteLOL. I completely relate. When my Great-Aunt died a few years ago, I traveled to Oklahoma with my dad for the funeral, with only 1 little one. He was just over 1 year, and full of energy. I said "I forgot how much trouble it is with just one!" Everyone was great about it, though, and said it was perfect for her funeral because she always loved having lots of little ones around. I don't think your parents would be too hard on the twins, or you. ;)
