Pretzel Powder

What follows is a series of images depicting what happens when you let the twin toddlers and their toddler cousin share a snack while you innocently chat with your brother and your sister-in-law, just trying to have a little conversation.

(Warning: images are graphic and may be disturbing to pretzel lovers, clean floor aficionados and germaphobes.)

  1. Wow, that's a fine mess. :)

I had a fine mess of my own the other day. Kool-Aid mix (the kind with the sugar already in it) poured onto the rug in my kitchen and then ground in with little two year old feet. It wasn't pretty.
I vacuumed for FOREVER! Even though I think I got it all, I keep having dreams about ANTS!

    Have a great day!

  4. Is it rude that I am CRACKING UP? lol How dare you try to have a conversation? lol ;) Want another good spill story? MY daughter decided to "clean" the floor by spreading baking powder EVERYWHERE. Then she saw the cocoa powder and read something about "ground" and "sprinkle". Use your imagination. lol

  5. WOW! Very impressive. And, I am happy that I am not the only one this has happened to. Yeah, it was one of my shining moments as a parent. I think it just made me stronger. Yeah, that's my story!

  6. Oh dear.
Just let them eat the pretzels off the floor and then send in a dog to lick up the crumbs. ;)

  7. *chuckling*
Yep, I can relate. My then 2 yr old opened a bottle of cinnamon, then proceeded to finger paint. I guess he thought the house could use a little air freshening. :) Because we could smell it for a while hehe

  9. oh my! Well at least you have a sense of humor and that makes it all better :)

A similar thing happened to me (insert cereal box where you have pretzel bag) and since the great mama mistake of trusting LL, we have moved on to "snack traps" and never looked back...

  11. My 2 and 4 yr old last week dumped liquid dishsoap, salad dressing and soy sauce all over the kitchen floor while I was sitting in the dining room nursing the baby and browsing the internet. Little rascals! I had a clean spot once I cleaned it up. My 15 yr old son mopped the floor for me last night and it is totally trashed again. If only I could hose down the kids before they entered the house and only allow them in one room.

  12. But most importantly...was it a good conversation? If yes, then the mess was well worth it!!
