Kissy

Of course we'll eventually discourage this kind of thing so as to avoid a Greek tragedy or a Mississippi love story....

Kissy Twins from Octamom on Vimeo.

...but for now, I think it's pretty darn cute....

(and for those of you concerned about 8 of 8's precarious perch, never fear. The kid has the uncanny balance of a mountain goat...he'll probably be a rock climber, which should do amazing things for my hair color...)

  1. They are even cuter on video!

For now we think Dragon and Little Bear are cute as kissing cousins but the title has different conotations when they grow up.

  3. That's why the Lord created Garnier Nutrisse! (I think that was on the 9th day?)

;) Greek tragedy or a Mississippi Love Story gave me the giggles!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. - Julia

  4. You're so funny. My son was (is) a mountain goat too. At two years old standing on top of a bar stool. I had to get rid of them. Now he scales the entertainment center. (see what you have to look forward to?) Yes, I have the gray hairs to prove it. Those two are so cute...guess you have to "keep them" too.

  5. So cute!

The mountain goat trait apparently passes to males. I have one too, he's 5 now. We found him on top of the refrigerator once! Not to mention various other precarious places...

  6. Even though my boys were climbers by nature, one of our girls was even more a monkey. We found her on the top bunk of the bunk bed at just over 12 months old - without a ladder! We had removed the ladder so that the littler ones couldn't climb on top of the bunk beds. She played a trick on us! She was also continuously sitting atop the piano, scaled the fridge a few times and just generally climbed as high as she could anywhere.

She's much older now, and still loves the monkey bars, but her tendency to climb atop the highest furnitures has calmed down, thank goodness.

White hair? you mean that's why we get it? From the kids? ;) I guess I'm in trouble too! Maybe they should all pitch in with their allowances to pay for the various hair colour appointments. ;)

  11. Too stinkin' cute! I didn't even notice the precarious perch - I have a climber here as well, so it seemed normal!

  16. I've noticed that my kids that are natural monkeys rarely get hurt climbing, jumping, etc. It's the normally cautious ones that are trying to be adventuresome that have gotten hurt. My now 4 yr old was the first to break a bone when she was 2. She was dancing on the floor in the dr's office in her socks and fell, getting a green stick fracture in her right arm. At least we were already at the doctors. It was much cheaper than the ER to have the DR refer her to the xray department, get the xrays and have the dr read them and set her arm.

  18. It is a precious video!!!

Our toddlers, when not biting, pinching, scratching or pushing are pretty loving to each other and to us. I very much encourage this throughout the day. Today the fad was licking UGGG - not sure if I want to encourage that tomorrow LOL. But we do have lots of kisses, hugs, hand holding, snuggling and group hugs that always end in gigglefests!!

I think that as they grow, the loving kindness that we are now showing as a family standard will make them more compassionate.
