The surgery was deemed a success. 4 of 8 is now home and we are thrilled that we did not have to spend the night at the hospital. Her doctor removed a large section of bone which was responsible for the rigidity and pain in her foot. He speculates that she was born with the bony connection already in place--so it validates our decision to go ahead with the surgery. She is quite comfortable for the time being and has some good prescriptions to keep her pain levels down. Thanks so much for all your good wishes and prayers--we appreciate it so much!
Blessings!
