Designs on Heaven Giveaway

I am absolutely delighted to let you all in on a little gem of a website (pardon the pun), a fantastic jewelry ministry created by my amazing friend Thea. How can a jewelry designer make a ministry out of her craft, you wonder?

I'm glad you asked.

Thea designs and creates incredible pieces of jewelry art, and then takes all the proceeds from the sales of those pieces and contributes them to Christian organizations that are dedicated to spreading the gospel, feeling the hungry and helping the needy. Many of her pieces have biblical application and she has generously allowed me to give away one of those pieces to one of you.

mother of pearl cross

This is her design known as 'The Gemstones of the Bible', representing the 12 stones listed in Revelation and their associated symbolism for the Apostles, with the mother of pearl cross representing Christ, the gate into heaven. I have this piece myself and have given it to several friends, so appreciating the reminder.

So here's the deal for the Designs on Heaven Giveaway. Head over to Thea's, take a look at all her amazing creations, do a little Christmas shopping if you like, tell me your favorite and check back on Wednesday to see if you've won!

Best of luck!

  1. WOW, Thea does some stunning designs! My favourite is the Pearl, crystal and Bali bead chandelier necklace. it is one of the icons on the photo albums page and I HAD to go and have a closer look as soon as I saw it. It's beautiful, they all are, I didnt see a single one that I thought I couldnt wear:) Not sure if us Aussies are in the running but I wanted to let you know what a tallented friend you have, I love making jewellery (and I love supporting people who make and sell their own) so I had to go and check out her designs. I'm going back now to drool over some more of them...

  17. Favourite? Oh my! So many to choose from. I adore the mother and baby ones - they are just wonderful. But my favourite has got to be the Hand forged sterling cross pink stone and Bali beads for the girls in my life and the Leather cord with bone, Bali and African trade beads, pewter cross for the little guy.

  18. What a unique way to give back to God and show your love to others. I don't usually do these things but I thought I would give it a go. My favorite was the purity bracelet for both the bracelet and the message behind it. http://www.designsonheaven.com/Designs_on_Heaven/Jewelry_Albums/Pages/Gemstones_of_the_Bible.html#5 I am doing a thing right now for church for Reach 4 Life and fasting from facebook for 40 days. It ends Decemeber 1st and in those 40 days you're supposed to raise money. The purpose is to teach purity to the kids in Africa and the team gives these kids bibles. It is a really awesome ministry and I just felt like all of her pieces could speak to you. Thanks for sharing this and Congratulations to whoever wins! :)

  34. Her jewelry is amazing, and I love that she is using her gifts to glorify God and share His word with others! What a neat person!

Your post (or my logging in to see what you've been up to) came at just the right moment. I always try to give my sisters something meaningful, and this jewelry may be just the thing. Everything is so beautiful, it's hard to decide on a favorite. But for now, my favs are: the pearl, crystal and Bali bead chandelier necklace, the labrodite on raku seed bead, pearls and crystal, AND the filigree cross, crystals, and pearls on a multilink chain.

Thanks so MUCH for telling us about these beauties!

  38. Thank you for introducing Thea to all of us! Her jewelry is beautiful and the ministry is genius. Well, being so heavily involved with the Orlando House of Prayer, I would have to say that the Prayer Box bracelet is my favorite, but it was a hard choice. The Gemstones of the Bible necklace is amazing; I was just reading the throne room chapter of Revelation to the kids at our Children's Prayer Watch and they made some great pictures of the beautiful gems mentioned there.
