  7. I ran across your blog through candy and I wanted to say Hi! I am amazed at 8 children and will enjoy coming back to hear you stories. I am one of eight in my family. You have an adorable blog.

  8. HILARIOUS! Very good pictures, too.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who couldn't comment the other day.

  9. I love this post. I have been cheating too. It's really tough hard to not eat when there is just so much around the house.

  10. *giggles hysterically* Have I mentioned lately that the more kiddos you have, the more the candy multiplies??? BAAAAAAD for Mommies! lol *hugs* Cute photos though. You're such a great photographer, and your sense of humor just leaves me in stitches. Happy Wednesday!! :)

  12. I'm absolutely loving, LOVING this series of pictures. When I still had kids at home, my favorite time was when i could finally through away the candy. However, I'd already oinked so much of it by then that the damage was done. Thanks for a morning laugh!

  15. Ditto!! And here is the worst part... I actually bought MORE candy last night at Target cause it was 50% off! What is wrong with me?!?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  16. LOL Hilarious!! I am SO with you. It's a good thing the boys didn't come home with a lot of candy this year. Good for me, anyway. =)

Hey, is that a Nestle Crunch I see in that pile? Can I have it?! LOL

  17. That was so clever! BTW: I'll be right there behind you!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Love it! The picture with the candy on the scale needs to be plastered to my forehead!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Where are we supposed to put all the candies? In the cupboard? Better to eat some and bing down the stash...lol

  20. I thought I was doing well. I only had one small butterfinger from the kids candy bags. YES, I was doing great.
Then the wifey brought home the 'after halloween on sale' candy bags. "Look what I got for only 89 cents," she said.

    It is a conspiracy, isn't ?

  21. heeheehee! thankfully we had no candy left this year and no one really went trick or treating...otherwise i would have to post a similar confession :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ah, the benefits of not letting your kids trick or treat!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hahahaha!! That's GREAT!! And if the kids ask, just tell them it's mommy tax!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sounds like me! I need to get on my treadmill too! Don't forget to visit my new blog :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I had finished sneaking an entire Costco bag of fun size candy bars by mid-October. Sad, but true.

    ReplyDelete
  26. me too :( something about the lure of candy I can't resist!

    ReplyDelete
  27. ah those pictures tell the story... good luck on the treadmill, some day I will be jumping on a treadmill as well.

    ReplyDelete
  28. oooooooooohhhhhh yeahhh.

I'm chewing on the same confession right now.

(((i need to go back and read what else you've been up to!!!)))

    ReplyDelete
  29. All those chocolate goodies have been calling my name, too!

    ReplyDelete
  30. If I happen upon an extra pancreas, I'll send it to you.

Don't forget to wear your seatbelt on the treadmill.

    xo!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well as only a good friend would...you run..i'll eat whats left ;)
Sure looks like you guys had a great time!

  32. This post is so clever!!! You win the award for most creative blog post ever. I love it!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hah! Cute, real cute!!!!!!

If those were bags of potato chips then I would be right there with ya. But do you know I have not have ONE piece of candy. I'm a salty snacker.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yea, um, I'm having a rough time with all the candy hanging around too. I sent most of it with my husband to work. Don't know why I kept some around....

    ReplyDelete
  35. Empty candy wrappers on the scale - oh the irony! I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  36. haha - one bloggy friend of mine wrote that The Great Jack-o-lantern comes and takes the candy in the night after the kids pick 10 favorites (and donates it to a local children's shelter...) How great is that? Cuz we all know that, by now, Mom's eating most of it, anyway. I mean, by the looks of your house, anyway. I personally wouldn't know anything about that...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Now I'm glad my son wouldn't get in his costume for Halloween!

Shew! I've got enough things to try to get off my big butt without the candy!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well somebody has to help eat all the candy, right?

    {I love peanut butter cups too!}

Have fun on the treadmill! ; )

    ReplyDelete
  39. And that's pretty much how things went down at my house, too!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Lucky you. My stash has made its way to my husband's office. At least all the good things!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hmmmm....looks like we have the same decorator!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Funny! I'm so glad I had to work the night of Halloween, the candy remained at the kids dad's house.

    ReplyDelete
  43. You and me both baby!! Halloween killed my diet, I ate more than the kids!

    ReplyDelete
  44. my sister and I were on the phone during nap time today, both eating candy after candy and she said,
"my kids have forgotten about the Halloween candy, but i haven't."

    ME TOO.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I planted the seed early while we were at the Dollar Tree that the kids could sell their candy for a dollar to spend there. (A local dentist buys it for $1/lb). It worked! All night, K was bragging that she was getting lots of candy to sell to the dentist. My 2.5trick-or-treaters made $7.00! That's 7 lbs of candy even with who know how much I snarfed over the weekend before we could take it to the dentist. Bless the Lord for the willpower I had to give it up. Even got out my dregs of leftovers from last Halloween and Christmas that have been sitting in the candy jar for months. Love ya! --T

  46. I'm SO glad that the kids ate up the candy FAST -- too tempting for me (major carb cravings lately; what I DON'T need right now!)

Anyway, thanks for the comments. You inspired me, too. I love your sillhouettes, so I played around with my GIMP as you can see. (I don't usually do portraits, so a fun op.)
